2020 DEEPS-Leadership Alliance REU

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 DEEPS-Leadership Alliance REU was a virtual program. We gathered for twice-a-week online meetings to talk about experiences, research projects, grad school opportunities, writing research abstracts, and preparing research talks. Students also participated in online professional development workshops and networking opportunities offered by the Leadership Alliance.

At the end of the program, students presented their research at the virtual Leadership Alliance National Symposium. Students also presented talks and posters at national science meetings during the 2020-2021 academic year, including the Fall American Geophysical Union Meeting and the Conference of the National Society of Black Physicists.
