DEEPS STEP works in partnership with Providence Public School Department to assist teachers in their transition to Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and 3 dimensions of learning. These new requirements put a significant burden on teachers who need to come up not only with adequate science lesson plans, but also shift to a much more multi-disciplinary and inquiry-driven learning approach. We hope that by working together during the two years of DEEPS STEP program we can help our teachers to establish a strong Earth Science curriculum in their classrooms that they can build upon in the following years.
